Common additions we've made:
- Forbidden words - Competitor names, outdated terms
- Social media tone - More casual than general brand voice
- Campaign-specific rules - Temporary guidelines for promotions
- Channel-specific notes - Different rules for email vs. social
How to add:
- Go to your Brand Guideline
- Click "Edit" on any section
- Add your custom rules
- Save
Example:
Our PDF doesn't mention what words to avoid, but we've added: competitor names, "cheap" (we say "affordable"), and outdated product names.
